We Got You Mama podcast
I joined the We Got You Mama podcast to talk about California parental leave and how expecting parents can plan their paid time off.
Mentioned in We Got You, Mama
An expert-backed guide to motherhood by Carly Church, founder of We Got You Mama. It's Your Leave is mentioned in the book.
A short bio for media
Brittney O'Brien is a California parental leave strategist and the founder of It's Your Leave, based in Sacramento. After nearly 20 years in Silicon Valley tech sales, she had her own state disability claim denied and spent a month on hold with the EDD with her newborn. She built It's Your Leave so other parents would not have to figure it out alone.
Since then she has helped more than 1,100 California families plan their leave. Her Paid Leave Blueprint walks both parents through the four California programs, State Disability Insurance, Paid Family Leave, Pregnancy Disability Leave and CFRA, in the right order and in plain English.
